About the Artist
I’m Jennifer Seymour, a self-taught artist based on Padre Island, Texas, creating bold, expressive work across a range of mediums and surfaces.
Originally from a small town in Missouri, I developed a passion for art early, and it continued to evolve during formative years spent living in Europe and returning to the U.S., settling in Kansas City, Missouri, where the city’s raw textures, layered history, and industrial landscapes deeply influenced my work. That period gave rise to my Urban Decay collection, shaped by contrast, structure, and the beauty found in imperfection.
A move to the Texas coast marked a turning point in both my life and my art. Immersed in sun, salt, and sea, my work shifted to reflect the energy and color of coastal living. It was here that I began painting professionally, launching my Gone Coastal collection and stepping fully into my career as a full-time artist.
Today, my work includes large-scale, custom murals throughout the Coastal Bend created in close collaboration with clients, as well as commissioned fine art and watercolor portraits. Each project is guided by a respect for place, story, and individuality—whether the canvas is a single sheet of paper or an entire wall. I’m especially known for murals that reflect both the personality of a space and the people connected to it, as well as intimate portrait work that captures subtle detail and emotion.
I’m continually exploring new techniques, ideas, and creative challenges. From expansive public art to deeply personal commissions, I approach every project with the same intention: to create work that feels thoughtful, meaningful, and lasting.
