Private Residence

This piece lives on a retaining wall of a private residence, viewable by boaters along the canals of Padre Island, just east of the Gypsy Bridge. The mural features a collection of beloved album covers, handpicked by the homeowners. I painted each piece in my home studio on mural fabric and installed it on—site—definitely one of my favorite methods for high-detail work! When it was finally finished, it stirred up quite a bit of attention. The POA even called it a "sign violation" and tried to have it removed 😅. But the outpouring of support from our neighbors was incredible. That issue faded quickly, and now the mural shines on, a colorful surprise for anyone floating by.
